Standard Auto Wreckers Terms of Service

  • Unless the original invoice is noted, all parts are sold with a MAXIMUM 60 DAY PART ONLY Warranty. NO Labour coverage is implied without the purchase of Labour insurance

Engines are guaranteed to be in good operating condition within reasonable limits of manufacturer specifications as stated by the seller (i.e. oil pressure, compression, and oil consumption).  All internal parts of the engine including crankshaft, block, head, and valve train are included.

Accessories on or around the engine. (i.e.: water pump/injection system /coils/ fuel pump/thermostats/flywheel/ induction system, and oil pan, coolers) are left on for convenience only and are not guaranteed.

No Labour Coverage is assumed on any part. Labour insurance is available at the time of purchase for an additional fee. 

Engine Warranty validation requires the following steps on initial installation.

  • Ensure all manufacturer guidelines, and recommended install precautions are followed on install of this part.
  • Installer must ensure all external seals are replaced prior to install (rear main seal/valve cover gaskets / oil pan gasket). Leaks from external gaskets and seals are not covered.
  • External Water Pump and Thermostat must be replaced.
  • Cooling system flush as per manufacturers guidelines
  • Failure to follow guidelines will void all guarantees.

Automatic Transmissions, Transfer Cases, and Front or Rear Ends are guaranteed functioning assemblies. All internal parts are included except for gaskets, seals, filters and sensors.

Automatic transmissions are sold without filters.

Transmission Warranty validation requires the following steps on initial installation.

No Labour coverage is assumed on any part. Labour insurance is available at the time of purchase for an additional fee. 

  • Ensure all manufacturer guidelines, and recommended install precautions are followed on install of this part.
  • The installer must replace the transmission filter and pan gasket prior to driving or shifting.
  • Change all external seals and gaskets including torque converter pump seal.
  • Follow manufacturers install guidelines on all re-learn/coding procedures.
  • Flush transmission cooler and lines
  • Failure to follow guidelines will void all guarantees.

Standard Auto Wreckers is not liable for leaks caused by failure to change gaskets/seals.

Warranty covers replacement (subject to availability of like part), repair, or refund at the option of the seller.

The warranty does not cover any other expenses such as emergency road service, lodging or related expenses.

Please ensure all install documents are recorded and maintained to validate warranty.

  

  • All electrical parts are guaranteed for a minimum 60 days and are Exchange/In- Store credit only – NO REFUNDS!
  • Defective parts are guaranteed for OVER-THE-COUNTER REPLACEMENT only.  Only if a replacement is not available will the money be refunded.
  • Non-defective parts are returnable for credit only and are subject to a 25% restocking charge (minimum $125.00).
  • Warranty and freight charges are not refundable.
  • Returned parts must be ACCOMPANIED BY THE ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT.
  • Any special-order parts, or body section cut to order are NOT REFUNDABLE.
  • Warranty is limited to replacement, repair, or refund at the option of the seller. Our Part warranties do not cover the expense of removal or replacement of a nonfunctional part unless Labour insurance is purchased.
  • Returned parts must be in the same condition as when sold, New / Aftermarket parts must be returned with original packaging intact
  • All guarantees are void if the part has been disassembled or prepped
  • Credits for returned parts may be used to purchase other parts.
  • Any parts not picked up within 7 business days will be restocked and customers will lose their Deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.  If you cancel the order, you lose the deposit.
  • Used Tires: Used tires are sold as is, without warranty and the purchaser agrees to accept all risks relating to the use of the used tires.

LABOUR INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE ON MOST PARTS – SPEAK TO OUR SALES TEAM FOR DETAILS

CONDITIONAL WARRANTY AND LABOUR PROTECTION LIMITS:

  • Extended warranty coverage must be made at the original time of purchase.  (This warranty is valid only to the purchaser of the part.  The warranty is non-transferable and may only be used by the original buyer whose name appears on the invoice.) All claims must be accompanied by the product, and the original sales receipt. The warranty does not cover the loss of time, inconvenience, loss of vehicle, towing cost, commercial loss, or consequential damages. Fluids, gaskets, seals, filters, hoses or other materials and parts used in the installation process are not warrantied.  Those materials are also at the buyer’s expense. Claims that result from overheating, accident, abuse, neglect, alteration, improper maintenance, or improper installation are not warrantied. Damage caused by failure to maintain your vehicle is not covered.  The buyer must have proof of oil change as per manufacturers’ guidelines. Warranties are non-transferable
  • All parts must be marked with the company’s original markings and stamps.
  • The effective date of the warranty is from the date of purchase and not from the date of installation.

STANDARD AUTO WRECKERS SUGGESTS THAT YOU INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS OF THIS WARRANTY.

ALL WARRANTIES ARE NULL AND VOID IF VEHICLE IS USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES, INCLUDING TAXI, FLEET, RIDE SHARING, RACING, OR OFFROAD, AND OR IF THE PART PURCHASED IS INSTALLED IN A NON-INTERCHANGE VEHICLE, OR SPECIAL PROJECT.
