I used this company in 2021 and today. Both times the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure to speak with Gail on the phone and Anwar the tow truck driver was very pleasant as well. I felt like I knew them for years. They paid exactly what they said and will be planting a tree in my name which is an added bonus. Thank you to Standard auto wreckers, They gave me the best rate for my junker and made pick up easy. Blair was the truck operator and he was kind and friendly and made this experience more enjoyable then the other scrap car buys i was dealing with. Would highly recommend them for a no hassle quick pick up with fair rates. If you like a hard time i would suggest going to the competition.

I reached out to Standard Auto Wreckers today for a quote for a part that I need for my car, through their online Quote request. The part I need is at their Toronto location but I'm closer to the Ottawa location. I instantly received a response from Marco V, with all the necessary information regarding the part that I requested. He provided me with a detailed Quote and explained that if I prepaid today, they could have my part shipped to the Ottawa location tomorrow, for pick up when it arrives. Since the price was incredibly reasonable, I agreed to the purchase. I was able to pay through e-transfer which made the entire process super simple! Excellent service, rapid response! I am extremely satisfied with the experience I had today with Marco V. My car has been undriveable for a month, making my life much more difficult. Had I known how simple it was to get the necessary part, I would've contacted them sooner. Thank you again Standard Auto Wreckers. :)

Standard Auto Wreckers is a full-service automotive recycler, who has been proudly servicing the Greater Toronto Area for over 45 years.

We are currently seeking 2 full time Tow Truck Drivers in our Scarborough location.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Safe operation of a tow truck including tie down and load securement

· Conduct daily inspections of the tow truck

· Provide excellent customer service on location

· Communicate accurately and efficiently with the dispatch office

· Collect and deliver vehicles to accurate locations

Requirements:

· Full G class license

· Clean driver’s abstract

· Minimum of 2 years of tow experience an asset but we are willing to train new operators

· Experience with dollies is considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, No Shortage of Hours Available

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

8-hour shift or longer

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime

Weekend availability

Experience:

We will train.

Language:

English (preferred)

Work Location: One location
